No one had responded to the original thread and, being 4 years ago, it was ancient history.

There was little point in continuing a thread which had only be re-opened for someone to post:

Jebus, this cruel, No1 replied since September 2010!!!

The same person was digging up other ancient history threads with no replies.

A bit pointless, really and not very clever.

Fair point, as a suggestion, maybe best to lock such threads with a very brief explanation rather than just delete posts, as it is confusing.
