Hi Folks,
Could do with some advice please.
Just got my old Sirrus out to give it a onceover before using it for commuting through winter (I need the rack in winter as I carry more), and it looks like a fair few parts could do with replacing.
Also, after taking it out for a bit of a spin, it doesn't half feel wierd. Far more upright than I remember so would rather stay with drops.
So, my thoughts were, rather than just upgrade the Sirrus, strip the tiagra, the bars and stem from my Allez. Get some long drop calipers and put them on my Sirrus. Then, sometime between now and spring, upgrade my Allez with shiny new 11 speed 105.
Also, I fancy a good fettle
.
Firstly, Is this a stupid idea?
Secondly, is there anything I haven't thought of that I need to consider?
Many Thanks,
Shaun
