..it stopped raining. Its been at it all day and the Sealskinz 'waterproof' socks I have are fundamentally, categorically, absolutely not waterproof.
The owner of Sealskinz has effectively done this with my money.....

....leaving me with some expensive, porous, hot and sweaty, rubbery feeling fetish socks, which is not my thing at all.

Yesterday was a very wet and grey day that had pigeons wishing they were ducks.

The gardens and parks loved the deluge, things have shot up overnight.

I’m pottering about the Basque region and stumbled on these in Tolosa, about 20 miles south of San Sebastián. Painted on walls in the older part of the town. Google tells me the the woman has written: “wins without fight EZ”. No idea!

Painted on the side of a pharmacy in the tiniest of villages halfway up the dead end valley 7km from Potes in the Picos de Europa, northern Spain. They do like a bit of religion in these parts!

PS nice little climb up the valley from Potes to the cable car base at Fuente De, about 22km and almost 1000m of climbing.
