It's a bit more complicated than that...
FWIW, that's not real unless they cycled through some back gardens, back doors, kitchens and out thru the front door!
It depends how often the GPS signal was recorded. It would be quite easy to achieve by "tidying up" the GPX file before uploading it.

I use ridewithgps not strava. On the writing front I've done some rather sweary regular catchphrases from the LFGSS website 'Use the f****ing search'

More recently as I mentioned on page 743 of the the 'your ride today thread' I've been drawing my own version of the tube map by cycling the entire London Underground, Overground and DLR rail network. This was over the course of 16 rides and just over 900 miles. I've not found a site yet that I can display all the GPX's all nicely on the same site at the same time, ideally in different colours of each line. (If you know of one please let me know)

So I cut up two A-Z's and stuck them together. The map is 3 metres by 2metres so is pretty large. This week I got some acetate to put over my jumbo map and traced each line from the GPS trace I made. I also drew in the Thames. This is the result

A genuine ride of c. 22 miles. I didn't realise the shape until afterwards, but there aren't many roads to choose from so it's a nice example of serendipity.
It's a bit bent, long and thin in the middle - and the route is much the same
