Not a tool as such, but i was talking to a guy at one of the stops on RideLondon yesterday who's rear derailler was bent. He had a spare gear hanger in his pocket.
I rake a spare hanger with me when I do a bit or touring. Minimal weight to carry alongside everything else

Probably oldest thing I carry is a fine metal pick. Handy for getting tiny stones etc out of tyres

The older I get, the faster I used to be ...
I have one of those. It was my dad's when he was an apprentice in the 1940's.
They have their uses - I still use one occasionally, as I do a carpenters brace and bits - I have two, one inherited from my cabinet-maker grandad, and the other an indestructible stainless steel Russian version.

Comfy armchair to one person & a plank to the next
It is a little tiny ratchet driver for 6mm hex bits.
Aren't the bits imperial on the base? But yes, basically.

I spotted it for £1.50 in a shop (QD aka Lathams, which was an East Anglian chain last I checked) with a holder of bits for 3,4,5 and 6mm hex, 5 and 7mm straight and Philips 1 and 2, Pozi 1 and 2. I've swapped the 7mm straight for a ¼" square drive bit that I already had. It seemed like a smaller replacement for the T bar I was carrying and almost worth it for the new hex and pozi bits.
