May have been done before but.. the unexplainable, the odd, wierd things you've seen that to this day, you still wonder about ?

The following two were both on the bike, funnily enough in the same place 'ish but some years apart.

Summers day, just on the perimeter of local farmland bordering old brickpits, I looked across a field and saw in the middle of it, what looked like a chrome, shiny, fluttery object just above the ground, like silver flames rising, moving up and down. I looked away (probably to see where I was supposed to be going), looked back...gone
I figured it might have been a foil balloon caught on scrub, torn up and fluttering but why had it disappeared seconds later. Wierd.

Some years earlier /later, I can't remember which, probably early evening, same'ish spot, a fireball passed overhead, I'd guess a few hundred feet above, right over me then off toward Whittlesey. It was a fair size, travelling very fast, it was there and then gone.
I figured it was a shooting star, came through the atmosphere and was very low. I watched the local news but nothing...I could imagine asteroid debris landing in a field some miles away being found.
But nothing, no reports, no news, nothing.

No, I don't do drugs 😀

The shiny fluttery object has always made me wonder, what WAS that ?

Where's Russell Brand when you need an opinion on these things?

In the summer of 1975, I was riding my motorcycle on the access road beside the interstate. On the interstate, another motorcycle passed me in the oncoming lane. It was notable because the rider was wearing a full gorilla suit, head, feet, and all.

At least, I assume it was a gorilla suit. I don't think my state requires gorillas to have driver's licenses.

I saw a gate jump out of nowhere straight into the path of @13 rider

Luckily he is faster than me so by the time I got there he'd opened the gate for me.

Er...

I told Brian that I intended to stop at the top of the climb out of Nelson to remove one layer of clothing, and I did so. There was a first for me at the summit ... I have never seen a large brown dildo hanging from a roadside bush before!

Not that exciting, but for some reason the two hot water taps in my flat keep turning on themselves. I've just had to turn the one off in the bathroom after finding the one in my kitchen slightly on when I got home this evening. I'm not concerned about poltergeists or anything like that, more how much fecking gas they are burning while on without me knowing!! 🧐

One night in the 1970s my dad was bringing my mum home to Birmingham from a night out in Coventry when she swore she saw blue elephants in a field by the A45. Caused a bit of a tiff as my dad obviously put it down to one too many Babychams, but she wasn't having it. A few days later the local rag ran a story about a famous circus troop over-wintering their animals at a farm near the A45. The elephants were painted with a blue substance to protect against the cold weather. Blue elephants near Birmingham Airport. For real.
