We've got one in the village, they re-routed the bus about 4 years ago but the stop sign is till there!

I think you should start a village petition to have it renamed from a "bus stop" to a "bus doesn't stop". Get in a supply of green ink and start writing angry letters. Create a disturbance in parish council meetings.

I think its more for long distance coaches and chancers seeking a lift with the ice-cream van or the chap who comes down from Grimsby selling fish on a Thursday morning.

That sign hasn't worn well in the last few years, it looked fine 5 years ago
C roads exist:
Some are more prominently signed than others.
I actually saw a diversion sign for a U road on the A595
