That one is useful, on Sedgeford Lane in King's Lynn. Until a few weeks ago, the new library's construction fence and gate were a few metres further back and you could turn the corner left around the side of the cinema to continue along the lane. It didn't look much different.
I saw a roadworks no right turn sign at a left turn junction last week but then given the general non compliance by many motorists understandable. Shortly after I saw a car trying to turn right out of another left turn only.

I actually did that when I was about 12. It was the only time I have visited that spot, but everybody was doing it.
Presumably too many people have got hurt, for them to bring in such a law.
