A strange sign that a transporter went under a low bridge.

That was a SAAB being delivered to the garage I worked at, the bridge is on Lancaster Rd

I've rarely seen the "l" in place. I live just up the road from here.

There's a village near Cheltenham called Uckington which I leave as an exercise for the reader
