There are still quite a few cars well under that. Almost all "small" cars such as the micra or corsa will still be under 1000Kg. And a lot of mid-sized cars such as a focus or astra will be under 1500Kg.
But most larger family cars (Mondeo, Insignia for instance) will be over, and virtually all SUVs will be well over it. Including of course that Range Rover.

Also - I have NO idea how much my car weighs
and any electric ones are probably a non starter - unless it is one of those diddy quadricycle things like the Citroen Ami

As an aside, how long do the "New road layout ahead" signs have to stay up before it becomes a middle aged road layout?
