Hi....My youngest daughter announced a few years back that she was "straight edge" and explained to me what it was.
She is now 21 and has never drank, smoked or taken drugs. So I guess it's a good thing!

Hi....My nephew announced a few years back that he was "straight edge" and explained to me what it was.

He is now 20 and had never drank, smoked or taken drugs by the time he was 19. Nowadays, he is out with his mates every night until about 03:00 and does not reemerge from his pit again until about 15:00, so I guess it was a good thing!

TBH, I could see him getting back into it. He seemed happier before he got lured into the usual late-teen lifestyle.
