Still not convinced a cycle club is for me

...just seems to be full of roady types doing time trials and talking about sprockett ratios...either that or beginners learning what the name for the thing you put your bum on is.
It would be cool if there was a club geared more towards touring rather than racing...dunno maybe I'm just to 'odd ' to fit in....big old heavy bike an all...specially in lycra with no sandals ...seems I don't fit into any one pigeon hole stereotype....I think I'll just keep on keeping on on me todd until i find a new partner into touring.

Why not cycle to a non-cycling club, or even nightschool in a different town?

For example, you could join a book club in a town 20 miles away, cycle there, discuss how pride and prejudice made you feel, and then get laid, because it's all women at those book clubs.

Come up to Blackpool we have just appointed a Touring Sec he is on about doing a Tower to Tower (Blackpool to Paris) and a 150miler in 12.
Mind you on the other hand we are looking at a 2 Up 10 at the end of February as well.
