Balsamic vinegar is very good on steamed veg.
I don't always use pricier stuff - mostly the stuff from Aldi.
Just slop it all over as 'Enry used to say. Or something like it.
I can quite happily, when on a bit of a health kick, eat a plate/bowl of steamed veg with only a very small amount of meat mixed in.
Even healthier a load of streamed cabbage with balsamic vinegar and bits of meat.It may be advisable not to go cycling for a while after this - it can make your innards somewhat active.
On an associated point - if anyone knows a way of steaming veg when camping do let me know.
