Hi there Phatbassline, If you are comfortable on you MTB then use that, but I would recommend that you change the tyres over to slicks if you still have the knobblies on. This will greatly help you with less rolling resistance so you will be able to go faster for less effort.

You'll be fine - just RIDE your bike a few times a week with say a 2-3hr ride in a 7 day period ! - No worries xx(

i wish you all the best on the 90m ride. Again just to mention the slicks on the mtb. i've recently changed over myself and was a bit shocked at how much differance it made.

Hi there and welcome. Just another thing to think about your ride to work Is there anywhere where you can safely leave your car along the route? I started off by parking halfway and riding in from there. It turned a 15 mile route with lots of nasty hills on the way home into a 7 mile pleasure.

I never though of that - actually a great idea!!!
There is a 'park and ride' car park on my drive to work and according to googlemap its 7.1 miles away.

How long at an average pace would you say that would take to cycle.
Goog roads, maybe so slight climb.
