Is it worth a look on FB marketplace, see if you can get an older style lamp? Probably cheaper too. My parents have a Gplan one (I think) they bought when they got married in 75 and it still works

Good Point - maybe have a look around any local antique shops and other second hand places
maybe some of the charity shops might have them
(just thought - a lot won't accept anything electrical - so maybe ring round first)
