Shame about Schleck but Kohl, Vandevelde, Sastre and Menchov are all making a massive effort making it far more interesting than I thought it would be.
Good ride by Millar despite being knackered too. I feel sorry for Frank Schleck, but he's worked his arse off breaking Evans in the mountains for Sastre and his team... and it worked in the end.

Sastre doesn't exactly rock my world but that attack on Alpe d'Huez was a world away from the dreary grind of the bloke who would have won the Tour otherwise.
Out of all the pre Race favourites Sastre was my pick and I thought he was going to prove the pundits right before the Alps but that attack on the Alpe was awesome. Even today you could hear the disappointment in the commentators both Ligget and Harmon as they realised snoozy boy Evans was not going to magic up a minute and a half to take the yellow jersey.
Pleased with the winner for the first time in years.
