Yep. Oddly though I am quite pleased in a weird way, as I have never stripped down the crank and rings so it feels good to have figured out how to do it.I had the same thing recently. Turned out one of the pedals was slightly loose. Another common cause is chain ring bolts. Basically, you need to systematically check all these sorts of things before getting to the BB itself.
Drop out the rear wheel and tighten the rear skewer, It's worth a try, like i said i was convinced it was the BB , but turned out to be the skewerUpdate have removed second bottle cage which is the only thing altered on the bike recently . Checked chain ringbolts , pedals ,lube cable under bottom bracket .Derailiur bolts checked . Been for a ride noise has lessen but is still there
Had both wheels out noise still thereDrop out the rear wheel and tighten the rear skewer, It's worth a try, like i said i was convinced it was the BB , but turned out to be the skewer
Not constant comes on the I apply more pressure normally when climbing noise stops When I stop pedalling don't think it's one particular pedalIs it a constant squeak or does it happen when pushing down on a particular pedal?
