Now the warmer weather is coming (hopefully) I need some gloves.

Well 2 pairs tbh as I have lost one of my fingerless summer gloves.

I have Winter ones but find above 5 degrees my hands sweat too much and I end up having to take them off and then on again for the big downhill.

Mornings aren't too bad as the 1st 2.5 miles is about 1.5 miles going uphill so my hands warm up v quickly and I am not going fast enough for windchill to factor.

So really I need some Fingerless summer ones for the hot summer we will get and some for nowish, preferably long gloves that are waterproof, warm enough for chilly mornings still and that don't make my hands sweat.

Specialized BG gloves are excellent mitts and very comfy. Pearl Izumi Pittards are also a brilliant glove for cold spring/Autumn, no padding and full finger but worth every penny

At the moment I'm wearing silk liners (Outdoor Designs £7 from outdoor shop) with Endura mitts - toasty warm with padded mitt protection.

I've been wearing Endura Strike for this winter and they've been great, I can;t imagine heavier warmer gloves for riding in

dunno, I've only got mitts now, but mu previous winter goves wouldn;thave been as warm as the Strikes

edit, mine are Altura Shields

In the winter, I wear a pair of wooly gloves with Thinsulate lining. From Wilkinsons £1.99.

My commute summer mitts ( above 5 Deg C ) are Belkin cheapos, from Hawk, £6.99. Also for Audax and pratting around the shops. I like them for the towel panel. Not much padding, but I only hold the bars lightly anyway.

For posing, I have Spesh BG Sport mitts for use on my Spesh SWorks. £14.

Full gloves are used to keep your hands warm. The real use for a pair of mitts is to stop gravel pushing into the palm when you take a tumble.

Gore Bike Wear's Mistral gloves are pretty good for warmer weather. They're very thin but fairly windproof. A bit pricey though (about £30).
