This is something I considered doing too. But sadly decided that even if i did manage to get my head around it, then i would probably forget to input the data!
Good look with it though, it would be great to look back and see your improvements.

I have been using a spreadsheet type log for a small number of years now which I designed for my needs which has expanded over the years. If you would like a copy pm me and I will send you a blank log. I use excel 2003 on XP operating system. so any programe before that version my sheet will not work. I also have another sheet that a fellow cyclist designed which is as good (better) does the same thing.

Regards

Leon

This is a screenshot of my spreadsheet. Nothing fancy, but does the job. You can have it if you want.

so what is column b? and is the whole of column e fuel cost?
Column B is distances (since the start if the year). Column C is distances on my new bike. Yes, the whole of column E is fuel cost (had I done the distance in my car). Rows 6 and 8 are year sub-totals (for all columns). Row 4 is Total since September 2010.

Also, Fuel rate is MPG, Fuel cost rate is £/litre, and CO2 rate is kg/gallon.

Sorry it's not perfect; I only built it for myself. I've not been well, you know. I'll try to do better in future.:surrender::blush:
