Sports Hybrid Bike Sizes, suggestions of bike sizes to try pls.

Can you guys suggest Sports Hybrid bike sizes for my girlfriend to try based on her info below:

girlfriend = 169cm height with 80cm inside leg

I had a look at the chart on the tredz.co.uk website, according to that, some one with my girlfriends height should be using a 46cm frame, though some one with her inside leg should be using at least a 53cm frame, so very confusing =/, which measurement to go by ? Or which sizes for her to try ?

It says I should be using a 58cm sized frame based on my height, and a 58cm frame based on my inside leg, so i'll probably go for a 58cm frame =)

There is a lot of women specific bikes out there that cater for female proportions, i.e. on average longer legs and shorter torso. Overall tho, it's much better to have a bike that has the seatpost further out than one where the reach is too long! But yes, you need to try them!

OK, I think i'm going to go for a mens bike for her any way, as she has the same leangth arms as me, even though she's 169cm and i'm 190cm.

So she should have no problem reaching the handle bars of a mens bike.

I think i'll get her a 53cm frame, as that's right for her inside leg, so she'll have the right amount of clearance with out having the seat too high and should still be able to reach the handle bars with no lower bach pain considering her long arms.

I'm sure she'll be wanting to have the seat the same height as the handle bars, or even slightly lower.

We can always send it back to Tredz if it doesn't fit.
