I am doing a sponsored bike ride with some of my work colleagues.
We will be travelling to the Swaledale area and completing part of the TdF. It's a 100 miler over 2 days, 57 the first day, 43 the second.
I think I will probably suffer lol, does anyone have any advice?
The hills will be my biggest nemesis.
If anyone wants to sponsor us, we are raising money for Macmillan and a local women's refuge. I'll post a link later.
I think there's about 15 of us doing it, 3 ladies and 12 men, ranging in age from 31 (me) to 66.
I'm trying to get more miles in riding to work and extending my commute, and doing more hills. I've had a lazy good few months (well year to be honest), and my fitness is slowly returning.

Take your time at it and you'll be fine.
Good luck.

What part of the city are you in? Get yourself out into the Peaks for some hill practice. Spring's here and it's just the weather for it.

As far as the actual ride goes, take it easy on the first day, day two will be harder. But it's perfectly manageable, just go steady and remember to keep eating.
