Spoke Breaks. What do YOU do?

I've broken loads of spokes. I've either taken them out or bent them round to a stable position and just carried on. As long as you don't go utterly mad they won't go through the tyre etc .

The question was "what would you do?". The answer in my case would be to wind the remnants of the broken spoke around its neighbour and cary on. Repairs can wait for a more convenient time.

+1 to investing in good wheels, 36 spoker here

I did break three and bend three beyond recovery soon after the front and rear mechs exploded

rather annoyed at the time that the LBS that replaced the mechs didn't notice any damage to the rear wheel, especially after the shop wag did the 'oh dear oh dear what have you been doing' routine, apart from that I'v never broke a spoke despite buggering tims on horrid potholes
