Local authority obsession with speed bumbs is now biting back. Snow ploughs are having to be kept set away above tarmac levels so that they do no snag on the bumps. Roads are not therefore being cleared of snow as they should. The wisdom of the local council again.

Are we worried? My street is blissfully deserted in snow because it slopes at both ends. In normal times it is used as a rat run by drivers avoiding the traffic lights up on the main road; we've been campaigning for speed humps for 30 years but won't get them because it's a white middle class district and we teach our kids to cross the road safely. So we are happy when there's snow on the ground.

I think you mean the wisdom of the muppets who made the speed bumps neccessary?

You know how drivers always pass you then immediately get in your way by braking hard for speed humps?

Well, thanks to snow 'hiding' the speed humps i've just discovered what happens when drivers don't brake for the bumps!
Lets just say the exhaust replacement center will be doing well!
