It took me half a day to understand that zero stack, semi-integrated and internal headsets are all the same thing. Damn manufacturers :smile:

Not quite - Zero stack means that there are no headset parts outside the headtube which can mean semi or integrated so is a useless term to use.

Basically with semi-integrated you need to insert a cup with a race into the headtube at either end - you will see the thin lip of this cup stick out at the end on your bike- and the bearings are then inserted to run on that race.

With integrated systems that cup is already built into the wall of the headtube - so you just pop the bearing straight in.

...and there was me thinking I'd finally got to understanding :smile:

At first glance, I thought my headset was integrated, but then, when I took it all apart, realised that it was semi-integrated/internal.
