I am 5'11'' and ride a spesh allez sport 56 cm. It fits me perfectly but I always thought I could have got away with a 54 cm frame so when I went and got the allez comp I asked to try both the 54 and 56 cm in it and to be quite honest there was not much in it. It just depends on what way you want to be positioned on the bike. If you want a more compact position without having to strecth go for the 54 cm bike but if you want a longer reach go for the 56 cm.
