Specialissima

I rode one of these on Saturday afternoon, Only a short ride, I expected it to feel really good. But for a £5000.00 bike i was not impressed. Felt no different to any bike half that price, I will stick with the Cervelo,

Someone on here had a chance to test ride several bike. One of them was a specialissima and he was blown out of the water (iirc) over how good it was.

I wonder if you rode something half the price of your cervelo and it felt better whether you'd post your opinion on here....

I do think when you get to a certain level, the differences are so small it would be hard to actually feel any difference on a like for like bike. But i expected it to feel like something really special. Probably need a lot more time riding it.

Definitely not me, I tested a whole lot of top bikes a few weeks back. I was impressed at how light the Specilissma was but it never stood out to me performance wise, aero bikes like the Venge Vista and the Storck Aerfast did though But the Lea Valley circuit probably had an influence, maybe on a more lumpy course the Specilissma would stand out :-/

The only carbon bike i have ridden that was half the price of the cervelo was a cube GTC race, As posted at the time not a nice bike. well not for me anyway, at the time we had an ally ribble that i still find a good bike to ride. that was half the price of the cube but so far in front.
