Hi, Any help here qould be greatly appreciated.

I've got my C2W voucher through, but my company uses Halfords.
I had originally planned to get a Boardman hybrid, check the costs before submitting my application, I go on holiday for a week, come back, voucher arrives, I check Halfords and they had put up the price of my bike by 100 quid and I'm just under the total amount! Well gutted. Apparently they can order bikes in, so my replacements are either Specialised Sirrus Sport, Elite or a Cube Hyde.

A couple of things, is the extra dosh well spent for the elite over the sport ( I'll be commuting 11 miles each way along the A316 ) and does anyone have experience of Cube hybrid's? The Hyde looks good to me but availability seems a bit scarse.

Cheers.

I've got a 2010 Sirrus Sport, 600 miles+ so far (urban tatty roads), not a hitch. I think the 2011 is very similar, the 2010 may have been slightly higher specced (then it was slighly higher priced than this year's model). The Elite has carbon/alu front forks rather than just the Zertz inserts, so probably given the state of the roads right now. How about going to Evans and test riding to see which you prefer - they are pretty obliging.

Don't know anything about Cube - have you done a search for reviews on Bike Radar?

I bought a Cube last year, an SL Cross, not the Hyde, and was impressed with the ride and the build. Before I decided what to buy I road tested 3 bikes, the Cube, a Trek and a Marin - all on the same morning driving between shops so I could get a good comparison, and at least a mile on each. I tested the Cube again at the end, and got the bike shop to pop some SPD pedals on for this. The shop assistant (thank you Adam, Solent Cycles, Portchester) took them off his own bike for this. There's service!

Do make sure you get a road test.
