Sourcing cheap bike gear

Hey all, having blown all my money on a Tricross sport I now realise I need a lid and shoes to get me out and about.

Seeing as though I can't use the sales section I was wondering if anyone could point me to somewhere in Warrington to get the above, really basic ones will do until I can upgrade them.

Still some helmets in our local Aldi. Perfectly decent and very little money.

Cheers all, been in Aldi Birchwood today looking for a lid and or shoes but no luck.

Only had the bike 24 hours so a bit of time yet..................no there's not I'm very impatient :-)

Don't just buy a helmet because it's cheap, buy it because it fits your head and is comfortable. It's designed to protect your head, not the right place to skimp in my view. Look at the Align from Specialized, see if it fits - meets all the necessary safety standards

You can ride a bike without one, ditto cycling shoes (depending on pedals) if that impatient

What @vickster said. Slap a pair of flat pedals on it and use trainers until you can afford/get the shoes
