Stick a fork in the top and eat it like a lolly. . . not that I do that

(Or use a decent bread knife and don't press down too hard!)

A good bread knife and i keep the loaf in the fridge to make it easier to cut, only one other mention of the new banana loaf here so i'll give it another one as it is gorgeous, though you do need to cut the slices slightly thicker than the original or it ends up a pile of gooey mess at bottom of toaster, still lovely though! But it must be toasted and it must have lashings of butter. Gotta go there is a loaf in the fridge and am off to practice what i preach!

I've got one in the cupboard, now you have mentioned it I know it won't stay there much longer :mrpig:
Might try the put in the fridge trick though, mine always squishes up unless the knife is very sharp.

Stand Soreen loaf on its end, use sharp bread knife to carefully cut in half lengthways, spread with butter or marge, re-join halves, and hey presto! a malt loaf sandwich.
