I think your original idea was right -i.e. raising the bars. It looks to me that you are not comfortable getting down low enough on that set-up, and trying to stay upright which is straining your neck, so you either need to train yourself to keep relaxed in a head-down position, or raise the bars so you're comfortable in a more upright position. Can you flip the stem? Also rotate the bars up a bit? If that helps it might be worth getting a stem with more of an angle - I think the height is the problem rather than length/reach.

Not flipped stem yet . Lbs put a 90mm stem on, original was 100mm.
3 rides and pain is stil there .
May flip like you suggest .
Lbs have offered bike fit for £50 (half price)
My only worry is could that possibly create other issues as I'm doing Cardiff velothon in couple of weeks

Looks like you could drop the hoods a bit too, move them lower and it'll put less of an angle in your wrists. That'll help general circulation.

Just saw this bit, i'm doing it too. Don't worry though, my first ride out after my bike fit i knew straight away it was a lot better than it had been before and that i could go further. Get it done this week and ride next weekend and you'll know too.
