It's a bit more complicated than that...
Errrrrrrm....

I stand corrected.

Interestingly, both Sudocrem and "normal" savlon list ingredients on the tub(e). Savlon healing gel doesn't. Which suggests that it might not be a good suggestion. Here's a list of ingredients scraped from a random website (not the product's own, which is very coy): Acid colloidal hydrocolloid, Arginine, Purified water, Branch Chained Fatty Acid (BCFA), Methyl-p-hydroxybenzoate (E218), Propyl-p-hydroxybenzoate (E216). The only one of those ingredients that seems to be active is the arginine, which is apparently a growth hormone.

Anyway, back to suggestions. If the problem is excessive sweat in the tropical heat of a repressive small island plutocracy, I would honestly suggest that a leather saddle is worth considering.

This stuff actually fills holes in your flesh...........it gives scar tissue something to grab hold of and grow around, like this bit on my leg. The dark patches are the hydrocolloid areas.

It could be that you aren't cycling enough.

I had an unintended break of several weeks because of mechanical problems with the fixie and when I started up again it was effing murder for week until the under carriage toughened up again.

its the dirtiest part of the body so reg cleaning 5 times a day might help along with the creams

yep, if you want to carry on riding and get it healed at the same time then clean, clean and clean...plenty of cream and witch hazel once a day, applied with cotton wool, leave the cream off after this bit, probably best done in evening when not going to ride again until next day.

Get thee to the doctor ... they will likely prescribe a cream that both steroids and anti-fungal elements. Works a treat IME.
Went for a repeat prescription the other day and the (lady) locum said I needed to give the area more fresh air ! but she still gave me the scrip I wanted.

Suffered a similar issue for 2 weeks after a very damp 200k. Tried Sudacream, surgical spirits, tree oil etc. End up at Doctors yesterday as it had not cleard. It is a fungial issue and I was given Clotrimazole 1% cream to use for a few weeks. I would head to the Doctors/pharmacy
