Soon to be buying. Your suggestions?

I'll keep this as simple as I can, I will soon be needing a bike for myself. The specifications that I require are:

Max £300 (Negotiable)
Full suspension
Light frame
Black (If possible)
17"-18" frame
UK Store

I'm still pretty new to bicycles, so please don't go overboard with the jargon

Black ... New bike.... Calling @vickster ^_^ though I'm not sure she will be able to fit in full suspension too!

Full suspension for 300 sheets new? Unrealistic is putting it mildly, unless you're happy with a weighty, bouncy, undamped, flexi, painful pile of festering doo doos. You're only just in the price range for a useable, if basic, front squidger.

Look at decathlon for a budget hard tail or halfords :but avoid Apollo and trax at all costs

Your budget, need for light and full suspension are completely at odds with each other

Is it for full on off roading?

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
If you tell us why you need those specifications, we will be able to be of more assistance to you. For instance, why do you need full sus? What type of cycling will you be doing? And where? Good luck by the way and welcome to the forum.

You also said you will need a bike, not that you want one?

Have a look at the B'Twin Rockrider 560 - Currently on sale for £350. Full SRAM X7 and forks nearly worthy of the name.

I've got the slightly older 26" version (better forks) and I'm amazed at the trouble it lets me get into. I changed the saddle (which was crippling) and really should look at some better tyres, but that's about it.

I'll second others - There's nothing even worth looking at with full-sus unless you at least double and preferably triple your budget.

Full suspension is not worth bothering with unless you are taking up serious mountain biking and if you were then you'd spend much more money. Bit like buying a Dawoo to take up F1 racing! If you want suspension get front only plus you could look into a suspension seatpost.
