Halfords sell some very cheap wheel lights that fit on your dust caps . They come in two colours and if you pick the right colour and have your red rear light flashing you will find that people do 20 mph behind you on dark country roads . The wheel lights are bump activated and strobe but when moving they look really cool ( if you are 12 years old ) but when you stop they turn themselves off . It would be against the law to have flashing red and blue lights otherwise .
Be seen is my plan .

Amazon T6 cree light. Blooming amazing. Has high low and flashing modes. I tried it on low and lasted 6 hours. Love the look of the hope vision 1, with it's integrated 4 battery enclosure. But £90

I've just ordered a 1200 lumen lamp off ebay cheap chinese jobby off a uk dispatching vendor. Will see how long it lasts. If push comes to shove, i'll uprate the battery pack to give a decent life to it.

I have a full beam light which is 2000 lumens. Bought from Evans cycles several months ago, I commute home late at night and cycle along very dark disused railway paths and unlit roads.

2000 lumens is more than enough and is easily as good as a car headlight. Word of warning though, you need to make sure you turn your light down on roads or if there are people walking/ cycling the paths. 4000 lumens will be brighter than batmans flashlight.

I have been dazzled a few times by cyclists with superbrights. If anything forces requirement for regulation on construction and use, I think this will be 'the one'

4000 will definitely be fine- I run a 300 lumen Moon XP light which takes me along unlit roads no problem.
I would love to hear about the run time though after outputting 4000 lumen for 2.5 hours.
