Software to do an elevation profile of a given route

After you have downloaded the route onto the Garmin from "Toaster", download it into Garmin Training Center and then you can edit it to add extra course points for such as breaks and then reupload it again. As for an extra loop, thats a different matter. Not used "Toaster" for a while but do you not get the option to save the course for later use whereby you could then add a loop and then upload that ammended course?

Zacklaws, the thing is that I don't have the proper maps for Garmin Training Center so it's a bit hit-or-miss where things are.

I can save stuff in Toaster but I don't seem able to add a loop at the beginning or the end or even edit an existing route. Perhaps I'm not using it properly but it doesn't seem to work for me.

Ah, see the problem now, its guess work in TC where to put the stops in due to that very poor base map, whereby I'm lucky I have two additional maps so have more detail to work with. As for the loop bit if I get the time I will have a look in "toaster" as how to do it.

Damn, SportTracks is out as it requires a MS o/s, and I'm on Ubuntu. Looks like a great package.
