I have had a Virago carbon frameset which felt ok but felt dead at the same time, once I fitted the Raceface BB it did feel livelier but not much, now I have a 2.1 alloy Trek which is actually lighter but feels far more alive, gives me some really nice feel on the road compared to the Virago, but I still fancy a carbon, but don't want to give the Trek frame up as it is or feels perfect for me, what are my options for a cheaper carbon frame or will I have to get a carbon Madone frame to keep the same kind of feelings, which will be very costly, will a carbon madone feel the same as an alloy madone?

I don't get it. The alloy frame feels perfect yet you want to change it for something else simply because it is carbon? You are talking gibberish man!
