After looking online for a Black/Black Charge Scoop and wondering why everywhere was sold out - I found out that Charge have rebranded their bicycle components to a new name 'Fabric'.

http://fabric.cc/

I've ordered a Fabric Scoop saddle, I like the look of the Cell, but that's yet to be released.

Some of the options on the saddles are interesting;

Flat, Shallow and Radius style.
Cromo, Ti and Carbon rails which are designed to be more flexible.

Last time I bought a Charge Spoon, which was only about a year ago, it was £25.
A Fabric Scoop (which appears to be the nearest equivalent to the Spoon) is £40. That's progress for you!

Any link (by association) to the new Brooks Cambium and the future launch of the 'Levi Strauss' version of that.
Yes that's right you will soon be able to buy a 'Red Tab' Denim version of the new Brooks fabric and rubber saddle.xx(
When I was asked by them to comment on this new range and wether I would purchase one I simply replied "Ask me in about 15 yrs time, we'll know if they're any good then"

Its states the "Cell" is designed for a wide hipped body, WTF? A women then? Or am I being sexist if so wide hipped men step forward.

Looks like they've discontinued the Spoon, and I couldn't find anything else in their range to compare it to. The range is now Line/Scoop/Cell. Wonder why there is no longer a Spoon, which seemed to be a good seller?

I agree dropping the Spoon, if that is what they've done, feels like an odd move*. But then so does rebranding the entire product line! Perhaps they got bored with the kitchen implement meme?

*Though my 'arris didn't like a Spoon over long distances.

Be aware that the Madison Flux saddle (which is still available and has not had a name change a la Charge Spoon) is virtually a clone of the old style Spoon. I believe it has slightly different grade of foam within it, but otherwise it's very, very similar to a Spoon...... and probably a good bit cheaper.

It is cheaper but a good deal softer than the Spoon. I have one on the mtn bike but wouldn't use it for the road.

The Fabric Scoop Radial version and Charge Spoon are pretty much identical in terms of shape. I ordered both to compare... difference is the Scoop uses far better manufacturing techniques and there's no more sticthing (which many compained about on the Spoon).

The Cannondale Synape 2015 is listed as being equipped with a Fabric Spoon saddle but I suppose that could be an OEM option only? Seems an odd decision to drop the Spoon if they really have done so.
