There's a layby just to the right in that picture, before the road curves to the left. I was parked there and out for a walk on the tops a couple of days ago. I think that spot is at about 500 metres...

Sorry, as you were...

510m at the top so the layby is a bit less than 500m. With a reasonable tailwind that stretch is a 50mph descent ... although probably not today as there is quite a bit of snow on the tops
