I deliberated for four years whether I needed a smart watch or not.
I did eventually pull the trigger on an Apple Watch 8 primarily because I was fed up with HR straps and lugging my phone everywhere with me.
Good decision? Definitely yes the constant HR monitoring is informative.Comparing it side by side with my Polar H10 it’s just as accurate. I’ve had a few notifications of HR dropping below 40 and an interesting one very recently my sleeping HR was up 25% from 42 to 52. The night following a Covid and flu jab 😀.
I have found it very useful for ease of
hr tracking
exercise tracking
weather forecasts/ conditions
HRV / health tracking
Apple Pay
timer
music recognition
Disappointed a lot of the time it can’t do ECG for me as you need a HR over 50 for it to work. Don’t think I need it anyway.

I haven’t read all the replies cos late to the party but has anyone mentioned amazfit watches , they do different ones for whatever you want . I have one that records activity and posts on strava though I don’t know if it would allow you to put strava on watch or even if you got a better model that might - maybe worth doing some research on them - I know the battery life is amazing on mine - about 3 weeks in between charges

Gutted to find out that despite all the advertising that Garmin do to promote Garmin Pay, it doesn't work with any of the main stream UK banks 😡

While this wasn't a major factor in my choice, it certainly helped sway me.

Purely out of principle, but lve a good mind to return it.

I can confirm that Curve works If you ever manage to download it.

Well that's good news at least, thanks for confirming it works. Just need to get it to download now!!
Maybe Curve customer support doesn't work weekends?

It does work with Santander if you have an account with them.

What are you trying to install it on ?
i have just updated mine from the Google App Store with no problems.

I can download the app, l input my mobile number first, then my email address. I then get a four digit code emailed to me, l input that into the Curve app, then either add a pass code number, or in my case finger print. It then goes to the next page, see screen shot below?

I've un-installed it, reinstalled it several times and just keep getting the same message? I cannot get past it for some reason.
Yet my future son in law has just tried it on his phone, no issues went straight in????

I wish l had, lve even looked at opening a Santander account just to get a debit card, but they want direct debits set up and agreed amounts to be paid on, so that's not an option now either.

So lve got figure out what the issue is with my phone and the Curve app 🤔

I thought you was having download problems, sounds like it's a phone problem, sorry can't help with that, but I hope you get it sorted,
