slipped on a hairpin bend

so i slipped on a hairpin......... going up a very steep hill driffed out wide and the i was goign to slow and just slid down and onto my side. has this happened to any one before?

Nope. Kind of difficult to visualise too.

Going down, yes; going up, no. Was it icy/poor road surface...?

yeah slight scrape on saddle thats about all. was going to slow tried to down shift bike skiped a gear, legs in turn sliped and i then just sliped down the camber and onto me arse

Touchwood I've only come off on an uphill bend and was similarly going slow.

Were you climbing out of the saddle Tom; I was when I hit black ice the wheel spun and I had a clipless I'm pretty particular now of sitting down when I face a dodgy uphill bend.

yeah i was out the saddle, wont make that mistake again double check bike looks like back wheel is slightly out of true so gonna take it for a service
