As much as I really don't much like it (and am rubbish at it), I would possibly swim, but local pool closed for refurbishment currently!

Had a rubbish leg day today, having walked for 10 mins, sat on a train for an hour, walked for 15 minutes, sat in a meeting/client lunch for 4 hours and come home to sit at my desk...my leg aches, feels crampy, my knee is sore and the lumpy bit is stinging...not happy...might see if a cycle helps later...bah it's hardly a hardcore existence (although my surgeon thinks I am always doing way too much)!

Well I've now joined a gym to try to build some muscle that doesn't involve riding a bike, having been told to cut back due to the stress on leg, knee and back

Using static recumbent, rower, cross trainer or treadmill. Also leg press, single and double legs, hopefully the gym tedium will start to pay off. Need to discuss properly with physio but any further tips on skinny calf building appreciated. 2 leg calf raises ok, good leg single ok, bad leg pathetic, managed three today with much shaky muscle!!
