I've been looking at a few bikes but need some help re the frame size suitable for me. I'm 6' 2" and have a 34" inside leg.

Is one company's 56cm frame the same as the next?

What i'd like to know is what size of frame would I need if using the following companies bikes:

Pinarello
Specialized
Felt
Bianchi

Thanks, in advance

Yes it is, the frame size is the centre of the bottom bracket to the top of the seat tube

No, some manufacturers use centre to centre and some with compact frames use a 'virtual size' to where a horizontal top tube might be. They are all roughly the same, but also a little different!

Then every manufacturer has a different top tube length for a stated frame size. So either try before you buy, or better get yourself fitted.

As Tim says .
If the size is given as centre BB to top of seat tube it should say 23.5" C-T
If its given as centre BB to centre of top tube it should say 23.5" C-C
Always ask if the top tube is horizontal or not as some don't think to say.

I'm same size as you and have found that generally a 23.5" frame size is perfect but 23" is ok if a little compact and 24" is ok too
Generally speaking the larger the frame size the more relaxed it will feel and safer in fast decents depending on how you set your stem, seat post ,saddle etc

I have a couple of compact frames - the virtual sizing is a reasonable guide, but you should look at top tube length as well.
