I'd defiantly suggest Yoga. The DDP yoga is the one I've settled with, it's helped my back in general, & my dad who has sciatica, has had all symptoms pretty much gone after a few weeks.
Any core exercises will be good. Kettlebells are good, but can make you worse if you don't now what your doing.
Sometimes It's a bad habit to, I found I'd tense up cycling up hill, still catch myself doing it sometimes. Clenching my jaw was a weird one I got rid o :P
