Tyres can vary slightly in width even in the same size and having different front and back is no detriment. You won’t notice the slight extra weight .
No particular reason to have the same tyre front and back

Don't buy a motorbike then - the wheels are usually different sizes, never mind different tyres
actully more tread is less grip as you have less rubber in contact with the road and given the effects of water displacement with the tyre contact patch they dont help remove water from the tyre when riding in the wetAnd the tread gives you more grip on the road, too. NOT
