Short Tour in West Wales. Thoughts and ideas, please.

I've lived in SW England for 35 years and am ashamed to say I've not cycled in West Wales.

My first thought is to get the train to Haverfordwest and meander to Aberystwyth via St David's over four days.

I'd like good scenery, quiet roads and will be staying in airbnbs or hotels. I'll be riding my Spa, a light tourer, and travelling either before or after the school holidays.

What are your thoughts on routes and towns to visit or avoid?

Coincidentally….I’m just back a few hours ago from a weekend in Aber, for a uni reunion! Took my bike and cycled some of the ystwyth trail which was excellent. Apparently it goes to Tregaron. It was utterly beautiful and made me very sad I hadn’t ridden bikes when I studied there!

Aber is intriguing…a little shabby now but would be a great stop for a day or two!
