You know what they say about tall men.........

They bang their heads on low door frames?

In 1974 I went through a 3 month phase of wearing platform boots like these.

This fad came to an abrupt end after an infamous 'knocking myself 3/4 unconscious on the upper floor of a bus' incident. (My 6' 1" + another 3+" for the boots was not a good fit with the 5' 10" roof height!)

I had an advantage being only 5' 5'' as I was a diver in the North Sea and I could get around easy without bumping my head on valves in the diving bell and living chambers, unlike the tall blokes who were carrying a good few scars on the old napper......
