Thanks. The new cranks arrived today and they look great.
Comparing the chain rings showed how bad the current ones actually were. The granny ring is okay but the other two are definitely past it. I do want to keep the triple as that's what the bike came with originally. I got the 170 cranks, same as the somewhat battered FSA ones that were on there. The Stronglights are a bit lighter too, which is nice.
There is a small possibility of taking it out on the road one day, but as you say, I'll need a 110 BB to get the right chainline, whereas on the trainer it's not so much of an issue. I might well do that anyway, as I have some time on my hands at the moment, and I'm quite happy spending an afternoon in theman cave garage tinkering away.
