You can get cheaper (good starter SPDs, I have on my road bike)

http://www.merlincycles.com/bike-sh...e&utm_medium=shopping&utm_term=Shimano+Pedals (include cleats, not clear from the Amazon page)

but those shoes don't appear to be compatible with SPD cleats...

"With pedals by the following brands: Look, Time, Shimano SPD SL."

Oh yeah, my bad! Is there a danger of buying pedals that are too cheap, or does it not really matter?

Get spd-sl you won't regret it bit fiddly at first

some 105 shimanos 70-90 price match

Mmm that might be a bit more than I can afford...especially getting trainers to go with them! I was hoping to spend 70 or 80 tops on pedals and shoes if possible...

Thanks Vickster, that's really helpful. Defo want trainers as it's for my road bike...love the end of the description on this:

"Size EU 50/ UK 14.5/33cm
RRP £69.99
PLEASE NOTE THESE SHOES ARE SMALL FITTING WE ADVISE TO BUY A SIZE LARGER THAN NORMAL."

A size larger than UK 14.5?!?

I think ebay might be the place for me though for sure...
