I have noticed that one of the pistons on my M615 Caliper is stiff. I took the pads out to put the bleed block in and noticed that one side was stuck it was persuaded to retract with a little force.

Once I put everything back together I noticed that one of the pads was pushing the disk, like single acting calipers.

The sticky Piston wasn't coming out as much as the other side. Taking the pads out again and holding the free Piston in means the sticky side will come out so not completely seized.

Is it worth or possible to rebuild/service these calipers? Given they sell for about twenty quid and come with a set of pads is it worth even bothering?

Shimano's are non serviceable in that there is no spares kits available, you would just replace the offending bit. First try pumping the pistons out. Remove seals, give it all a clean up and replace everything smearing some silicone lube on the seals and pistons first. Bleed up and see if it does the trick.
