Love the photos. I am just down the coast from you.
Whereabouts are you buddy ?

Just a little south from you in Kessingland.
Awesome job.
Obviously you will be needing a CX bike for the winter. Nice nobbley tyres but narrower than a MTB with a roadie geometry so you can go out on trails etc as well as roads and CX bikes LIKE getting dirty, it's there raison d'etre. I love riding at the coast, it's 20 miles down the road from me (we are next door, in Norfolk)
Planet X CX bike. Go on, you know that you want to. I have a Planet X CLX CX bike and I love him to bits. He has done more summer mileage this year than my MTB did in 3 years. Glorious bike to ride, light, responsive and quick as anything (Not fast in comparison with a roadie but v quick in comparison with a MTB)Sounds really interesting that.
I had kind of planned on a half decent MTB for some winter fun. Perhaps i need to do some research and re-think my plans...........
A real local yokel then !

Here is one I prepared earlier.
Born here but moved away for several years. Found myself back here a while ago and I love it.
Of course he is a he I'm not straddling a 'she' bike. What would people think! HE is called Eric, because he is quite short in the frame, as CX's are designed to be. Eric the Half a bike. Named after Eric the Half a Bee (Monty Python). It's a silly family joke thing, anything shorter than normal gets called Eric.HE ? HE ?
Who ever had a bike that was a HE. Surely thats wrong on so many levels............
How 'rough' does he like it. You must be restricted fairly, or has it really surprised you with its capability ? Or do we really not do what we imagine we are on MTBS........
Its what you make of it - like any area hey.............
It is indeed, but some parts of the country are better than others. Have you always lived in Lowestoft?
Nothing special here, but i agree: It could be alot worse !.
Thanks for the really kind words everyone. Seems a VERY friendly forum........ and its great to be here
Fair to say i'm loving cycling right now. Just treated myself to some Shimano shoes and a nice pair of
Look pedals on the way home from work. So the tact of your (funny) post was spot-on BrumJim !!!
Im a big guy, and 6'3 tall. I'd got up to around 16 stone 5 lbs, and after 3 months of cycling EVERY morning before work, coupled with sensible eating; im now down to 13 stone 8 lbs. Afraid i don't have any full body shots....but you can sure see it in my face. I would like to get down to around 13 stone flat i think, and then am looking to continue cycling for definate for the keep fit, enjoyment and fresh air aspects. I just love being outdoors............
So : Last year on hols:
This year on hols:
