Setting up for inside leg?

Finally about to pull the trigger on a new bike, and in the latter stages of the order it asks this

"So our team can set up the bike properly, please supply the following:

Height
Inside leg measurement

I'm 5 ft 11 but no idea what length my legs are and can't find a measuring tape!!!!!! Is this important or just to set the seatpost or something??

Want to place the order then move on with my life? What is the average length of a leg for my height?

You shouldn't be far out with 31 inches?

They presumably use that to guess the height for the saddle, but you will have to tweak that to suit yourself once you get the bike.

More importantly - how did you decide the size of the bike - by your height? You may have to tweak your handlebar position too.

I bought a medium and it was too small. Admittedly a different brand.

From looking at bikes and bike sizes over the last year,some size their bikes with inside leg measurements taken into consideration. Before i'd spend hundreds if not thousands on a bike i'd spend just over a quid on one of these.

Can't see how it matters if you are buying the right size bike, you can set the saddle yourself. It's not a bespoke build presumably

I think it's an off the peg hybrid he's buying, so that's extremely unlikely

Just tell them 32, worst happens you have to move the saddle
